The new E.ON Global Unit is based in Düsseldorf and starts its operation in May 2013.
We are looking for our Department Market & Credit Risk in Düsseldorf for a/an
Student for Internship and Master- or Diploma Thesis (m/f)
Responsibilities
Work with the Operational Risk and the Risk Method teams to design, select and implement appropriate risk assessment and risk controlling measures for at least four months as intern
Optionally you continue your work with a more scientific focus for additional 3 to 4 months by working on your Diploma/Master thesis hand in hand with industry leading experts in commodity risk assessment
If you have successfully completed your Bachelor (or comparable) degree, enrich broad knowledge on energy economics and financial markets with experience in VBA and SQL programming you are who we are looking for
Qualifications
Interest in Commodity Trading and Risk Management
Proactive minded, self-driven style of work
Being a good communicator
Very good Bachelor degree (or similar) in economics, finance, or similar
Energy economics and finance background
VBA and SQL programming experience
Ideally Matlab/GAMS or similar mathematical modelling experience
Very good excel knowledge
Fluency in English
German advantageous
General conditions
Limitation:4 to 6 months
