性格乖张的穿靴猫一日在极不友善的酒馆中，听到传说中魔豆的下落。正当一展身手勇夺魔豆时，被一只有型有款的黑母猫大搅其局。经过几番较量，竟意外发现失散多年的儿时基友矮蛋。一把鼻涕一把泪的忆起当年各种美好之后，两位基友不计前嫌，携手共创美好前景，一举夺回魔豆，并且直冲云天升入辉煌的空中城堡，大捡金蛋的同时还抱回一只下金蛋的小鹅。当大家回到家乡欢声笑语的共度美好生活之际，鹅妈妈的突然降临又开启了一场生死存亡的惊险夺鹅之战。
当史莱克还在泥潭中前行时，单飞出来的靴猫吃透《鹅妈妈的故事》、《杰克与魔豆》、《贼公贼婆杰克与吉尔》和《矮蛋先生》的全部精华之处及时出来应景，一解大家对史莱克的燃眉之急。没成想，当没有创新的剧情汇集了诸多经典之后，一经面世就大获全胜力压群雄博得意外之喜。各种无限基情、泡妞大法、勾引之术和搞贱卖萌，再加上各种环中环套中套的少儿级暗战一股脑的被组合到一起，以幼儿级的思维欣赏成人级的幽默，不知这算是梦工厂的悲哀还是无奈。总之，对于一路欢乐观影下来的观众们来讲，不必纠结太多，只需放声狂笑即可，可算是吃了一顿颇具特色的正宗爆米花杂餐。
