I am curious how you guys master several foreign languages.

For me, it is really tough to learn and speak English and German simultaneously. I always learn one and forget the other.:curse:

You're right. It's really difficult to improve several languages in the mean while. Could be a very tough and painful process. So at the beginning you need to put an accent to one particular language and wait until it is significantly improved and almost reach the level of other languages to consider simultaneous learning.

Hi, buddy!

I propose we do some translations. For example, we may translate a text from German into English.

What do you guys think of?

Glad to do so. But in my opinion, to translate between German and English is much easier than between English or German and Chinese, 'cause German and English have similar expressions and language systems.

Great. We may encourage each other to learn English or even try to organise some kind of English-related activities.

I guess she wanted to say that " I will make a progess with my persistence" or " My english will be improved if I am persistent"

however, the word "persistent" means:
"Someone who is persistent continues doing something or tries to do something in a determined but often unreasonable way"

though she expressed that she was determinded to learn, the word "persistent" wasnot really approriate in the context.

You're warmly welcome. It doesn't matter which level you are at, just get down to practice.
P.s. I didn't quite catch the meaning of this sentence: "I will get improve with my persistence". Mayb ...

some opinions about the usage of "accent"
I think here it should be used as either "you need to accent one particular ...),or rather "you "d better focus on one..."

having said that, I still think that to use "accent sth" in this context sounds a bit Chinese English to me.

"put an accent to?" I don"t think people really use this word this way.
"put an effort on sth" is more comman.

I could be wrong.it"s just an opinion. No offence. {:5_363:}

Thanks for pointing it out. To put an accent on/to something means to pay special attention to sth or to attach much importance to sth.'To focus on' is also a great expression though.

I really appreciate your way of learning English. To try to distinguish the subtle differences between similar words and expressions and put the right words in the proper situations would help a lot when you practise English writing.

Of course not. There's nothing to hide in terms of majors.{:5_363:} I study economics here and logistics at the same time.
Just stick to your way of learning, I think it would be very effective.
