6 E% W' X' r: I! @8 _Calling it the single greatest breakthrough to date in Alzheimer's research, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Monday the approval of Proneva, a new medication that prevents the degenerative brain disorder by killing individuals before its onset. "Clinical trials have shown that a single dose of Proneva can end the lives of patients who otherwise would have developed a serious and life-threatening illness," said FDA spokeswoman Sandy Walsh, explaining that in a recent study Proneva successfully prevented Alzheimer's in 87 of 87 people who were administered the drug. "For the millions of Americans who already suffer from this disease or have shown early signs of dementia, we recommend commencing treatment as soon as possible." According to Walsh, preliminary research also suggests Proneva may be equally effective at preventing cancer, AIDS, and heart attacks

这个文章太欢乐了，可是要做成presentation讲出rhetorical analysis，我就不觉得欢乐了。- Z& C: I1 B: ?8 A5 u* p
rhetorical analysis 要分析每句间的关系，先把每句标上号码，便于分析。然后哪句是nucleus，哪句是satellite，最好发掘深层意思，看看作者是怎样通过句子的罗列表达观点。。。。

我把文章先分成几个大chunks8 T- t' D$ I( N' M
1到10，11到13，14到163 N$ S: e# k$ I" e) `' I4 K6 k2 Y! F
其中1到10又分出两个小chunks：1到4，5到10! C0 \2 Y) a' Z. L7 ~
然后继续分，找到每个chunk最重要的一句话，就是nucleus
! u) p- e8 S7 `" z+ C2 {大chunk之间要分析关系，每个句子之间也要分析关系。
- M, y7 W4 H. X) b' b, v& B1 @: Jmm觉得1到4哪句话最关键？这几个大分组间什么关系？

( @( D% Q4 p- V% g0－4 是文章主旨（3 是Nucleus）； 5－13 是展开（67是nucleus），14－16是展望（16是nueclues）。
1 t  p; Z* y( G3 r1 A其中5－13又可分为5－10，证据，11－13，应用。7 }8 Y& _* T* g% h* J

mm觉得第一个大部分是3是nucleus还是2？（nucleus一般是不能删去的，其它的都可有可无）9 b& [4 y9 w) r4 T. o' F
后面6和7mm觉得并列重要吗？还是只有一句？

通篇讲得都是3，你自己看呢？没有3哪来的2呢？
) J, H% s" F5 |6 q& i3 u6和7一起是一个限制性定语从句，就是说，离开7，6的意思就不能正确表达。
. e; f! p. s% F1 E! O1 L所以67是一句。
) d2 E1 m* A2 q
8 g: b! F) t0 ~6 K! z8 N% D/ }$ t8 T( D嫩这英语学习方法像初高中学语文的感觉。

我认为第2句 最重要，特别是 the approval of Proneva 做题眼，点明事件。并列关系
