Barnabus Energy Appoints COO and Expands Distribution Network
SOLANA BEACH, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/21/06 -- Barnabus Energy, Inc. (OTC BB: BBSE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Britts to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Britts will be responsible for the Company's West Coast solar photovoltaic products manufacturing facility.
Mr. Britts is a senior executive having held international management positions in operations, marketing and sales. He was recently responsible for recruiting and managing distributors and sales staff for Hitachi Chemical Diagnostics, with territories that included all of the Pacific Rim and Latin America. Prior to this, Mr. Britts was Vice President of Operations, Western Hemisphere for a division of Sonat, an international oil and gas company.
He has lived in Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Japan and the United Kingdom. He is a former Navy pilot, and attended the Stanford University Graduate Business School's Executive program. Mr. Britts has served on the Boards of computer and electronic companies as well as several philanthropic organizations.
In accepting the appointment, Mr. Britts stated, "What excites me most about this appointment is that all of the market forces are lined up for explosive growth in the renewable energy industry. We have a great team, an experienced board of directors, and I expect our company to play a significant role in the evolution of solar technology."
The Company also wishes to announce the expansion of its national distribution network, which now includes Sun First of Marin County and Permacity Solar of Los Angeles, California, as well as DRI Commercial based in St. Louis, and NJ Solar Power based in New Jersey. Howard Gomes, VP of Sales, stated, "We have assembled a very strong network of professional solar integrators who are already selling our products into large commercial and residential projects.
