叶芝的诗:《Easter,1916》

叶芝的诗  "Easter,1916"。
9 [0 E: X) a. F. S$ `9 ?" }0 B: o  @6 d' W& v" G' C2 W
坦白的说, 这首诗相对较长,据说叶芝在写作时精神处于困扰和迷茫的状态,起义领导者之一是其爱慕对象的丈夫,而他像一个通常温和的人那样既惋惜逝去的鲜活生命,又对暴力对其理想中和谐境界的破坏感到恐惧。诗中传达出一种不安、痛惜与怅惘。全诗抄录于下,有兴趣的读者可以仔细读两遍(不过这诗真的很赞,还是认真读读吧)。

This other man I had dreamed

He had done most bitter wrong
: ?! Q( ~' p4 f7 {To some who are near my heart,

He, too, has resigned his part# R" i6 M# z% e' G2 u5 M
In the casual comedy;; Y# E: ], t' H* N# d; E
He, too, has been changed in his turn,

Changes minute by minute;& p% |- F* C# F/ _" x' p3 i9 O$ d
A horse-hoof slides on the brim,

The long-legged moor-hens dive,& Q. g' ]0 k5 G; D1 [- Q& L
And hens to moor-cocks call;

O when may it suffice?

As a mother names her child

On limbs that had run wild.

No, no, not night but death;( A1 K  s  m" G' A
Was it needless death after all?8 u! Y# N7 q( A6 _* U7 @, y
For England may keep faith

We know their dream; enough5 z3 m& j- j& [% K8 l0 b/ B" s3 h
To know they dreamed and are dead;: k/ l* s8 H5 T- Y

Bewildered them till they died?

A terrible beauty is born.
