The Robust Analysis and Content Retrieval (RACR) Group of the Integrated Data Systems Department, Siemens Corporate Research Inc. has immediate internship openings, with a flexible starting date. The duration is 6 months, and a longer stay is feasible.  In this position, the successful candidate will conduct leading-edge research on emerging technologies, as well as develop business-enabling solutions for our partner companies specialized in medical and industrial imaging.  We also provide opportunities for diploma or master thesis.  The research areas include:

* Computer vision
* Machine learning and data mining
* Medical image analysis (deformable contour, segmentation, tracking)

Knowledge and skills required:
- Willing to pursue research that makes a difference
- Out-of-box thinking
- Highly self-motivated
- Quick learner
- Visual C++ proficiency a must
- Strong system integration knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills a must
- English language fluency
