[其他] pregnant protection

My contract is until 30 Sept 2008. But I am pregnant and Oct 7 is the 6 weeks before the due date. SO my company doesn't renew my contract for the 6 weeks before and 8 weeks after the due date, but they said they can renew the contract after 8 weeks protection. Now they suggested me to register to the employment office (the one for jobless) for those period. Is my company right to do so? I think pregnant women are protect by the law for the 6 weeks before and 8 weeks after?

If I understand correctly, you have a limited-period contract which naturally ends today. And yr company doesn't want to extend it due to yr pregnancy.
IF that is the case, unfortunately, they have the right to do so since you have (had) a limited-period contract. The company has no obligation to renew yr contract after it expires, even if you are pregnant. If you are on an unlimited-period contract, the situation will be much different.  On the other hand, you may need to search for help from the authorities as yr employer suggests. Is there a way for me to get the 6 weeks paid maternity leave ?

I heard after birth, it is possible to get money from Family office for one year to staying at home to looking after baby, I should be able to get that without problem, right?

That is another situation. You can only receive that money when you are on a maternity leave AND you still have yr working contract with yr employer. In that case, the company is not allowed to fire you but you are paid by the government. Of course, anyone's situation is different. You need to talk with your employer before any important move.

Just would like to know, if you can tell me, even for the money after the birth from the family office is dependent on the contract?

Sorry, can't help you with this issue as I have no experience, either. But it will be much easier if u can ask those officers or your HR directly.
