to the forest, and started catching them. The man
bought thousands at $10 and as supply started to diminish,
6 Q( ^1 r" _9 Z9 F1 wthey became harder to catch, so the villagers stopped
/ D9 }, S0 v' ltheir effort.

The man then
  y. w; `7 y/ l8 rannounced that he would now pay $20 for each  one. This renewed
the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys
+ D$ t' Q3 B  j) Magain.   But soon the supply diminished even further and
& E8 y6 B' @+ S$ ~& H8 \; \* r9 Qthey were ever harder to catch, so people started going back to
their farms and forgot about monkey catching. The man increased his
price to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so
0 y8 |7 `( O  \- T" B4 l4 N4 J5 ^3 rsparse that it was an effort to even see a monkey, much
8 w" Z4 J& }) j. \+ Nless catch one.

The man now
8 i2 @+ r* v; f0 R/ Q/ L& V5 Mannounced that he would buy monkeys for $50! However, since he had to
1 g& C" f4 o5 }go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his
behalf.

was away the assistant told the villagers. 'Look at all these monkeys
! h$ D/ P2 y  e5 q0 J" B/ kin the big cage that the man  has bought. I will sell them to
you at $35 each and when the man returns from the city, you can sell
them to him for $50 each.'

: A$ K3 C5 y( Q' L' t) Drounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys. They never
saw the man nor his assistant again and once again there were monkeys
+ ^, E6 F5 e1 ^everywhere.
