It is true that MBA (Master of Business Administration) is a dedicated degree. In Germany, there are only a couple of business schools that can provide such a degree.

Therefore, as you said, the ordinary German Diplom BWL cannot be translated into Master of Business Administration. In fact, Diplom-Kaufmann/kauffrau (Diplom BWL) is often translated to Master of Science in Business Administration/Management.1 k" y( z9 G% t3 C
9 i4 D6 c# g2 Z$ U& a7 |A variety of translations may appear. Maybe some dictionaries translate Diplom-Kaufmann into Master of Science in Business Economics or something else literally. Nevertheless, such a translation is not correct. As a matter of fact, Master of Science in Business Administration/Management is the widespread designation on an international basis. |
